2026 Gallery's Migration Literary Award

The Tapestry — Curated Voices of Migration invites writers from around the world to submit their migration stories for the 2026 edition of the Gallery’s Migration Literary Award.

This is not a competition. There is no single winner. Instead, we are curating a collection of voices that together form a living archive of human migration. Every selected story is honoured equally through publication, a curatorial note, and lasting visibility in our public archive.

Your story — personal or ancestral, lyrical or grounded — has a place here.

Before You Submit

Please read the Official Rules and FAQ before completing this form. By submitting, you agree to all program terms and conditions.

Submission Deadline: August 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM (EST)
Submission Fee: $25 CAD (non-refundable). Payment instructions will be sent after you submit this form.

Please confirm that you meet these requirements:

  • Age: You have reached the age of majority where you live.
  • Location: You may submit from any country.
  • Originality: Your story is original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • Story Type: Your story is a personal or ancestral migration narrative.
  • Word Count: Your story is between 3000 and 4500 words.
  • Format: Your story is submitted as a Word document (.docx).
  • Submission Limit: You are submitting only 1 (one) story.
  • Fee: You understand there is a $25 CAD administrative fee. Payment instructions will be provided after your submission.
