your two-minute video

We invite you to join a growing movement of people who are documenting how migration shapes connection, belonging, and community around the world. After watching the short film The Red Box Around the World, you’re invited to create a two-minute video of your own. Tell us about a journey, a memory, a relationship, or a moment of change that continues to live in your life today.

Your video will help build a living archive that celebrates the many ways people move, adapt, and stay connected across distance.

How It Works

  1. Create your video
Record a short (maximum two minutes) personal video that shares a story, reflection, or moment connected to migration in your life or community.
  2. Upload your video to YouTube
Upload your video to your own YouTube account. Set the visibility to Unlisted so that only those with the link can view it.
  3. Submit the link using our form
Share your YouTube link on the form below. Your submission will be reviewed by the Gallery of Human Migration team.
  4. We curate, you inspire
If your video is selected, we may feature it on our website or social channels. You’ll receive an email if your video is chosen.

Tips for Creating Your Video

  • Keep your story clear, simple, and authentic.
    Everyday stories are powerful!
  • Film in a quiet, well-lit space.
  • Hold your phone horizontally for better framing.
  • Avoid background music unless it is original or royalty-free.
  • Include only content that you have created yourself.
  • If others appear in your video, make sure they consent to being included.
