Ester Crocetta is a contemporary artist born in Loreto Aprutino (Pescara), Italy, where she graduated from the Liceo Artistico in Penne. Her artistic career has developed both in Italy and internationally, with numerous exhibitions that have established her as a prominent figure in contemporary art.
Early Days
Her first collective exhibition took place in Pescara in 1996, marking the beginning of an artistic journey that would see her participate in numerous national and international events. In 2007, she was awarded the Medusa Aurea Prize by the A.I.A.M. in Rome, a recognition of her artistic research.
International Presence
In 2009, Ester Crocetta made her international debut with an exhibition in Berlin, Germany. In February 2010, she held a solo show at the World Art Museum in Beijing, one of the most prestigious museums in China’s capital. In 2013, she returned to Venice with a solo exhibition linked to the Venice Biennale. In 2014, she participated in a contemporary art fair in Barcelona, exhibiting at Casa Batllò.
Professional Collaborations
Alongside her exhibition career, Crocetta has engaged in other professional activities. Since 2015, she has worked as an art appraiser for the Ministry of Justice in Pescara and collaborated with writers and publishers for editorial contributions and book cover designs. In 2018, she held a show at the Italo-American Museum in San Francisco, combining her paintings with a sensory wine-tasting experience, creating a multisensory journey for museum visitors.

An Award Winning Career
From 2018 onwards, Crocetta has created sculptures for national awards aimed at honoring prominent figures in journalism and sports. Among the awards she has contributed to are the Giuseppe Prisco Prize (for three consecutive editions), the Antonio Recanati Prize (two editions), and the Ondina Valla Prize, awarded in December 2022.
Recent Activities and Recognition (2022-2023)
In 2022, Ester Crocetta was involved in a residency/exhibition in Florence, and contributed to the Giuseppe Prisco Prize for its 18th edition. In October 2022, she was awarded by the jury of the ARTE 2022 Prize by Mondadori/Cairo Editore at Palazzo Reale in Milan. Later in November 2022, she created a sculpture for the Ondina Valla Prize, an event held in the framework of Procida Capital of Culture 2022.
In 2023, Ester Crocetta published the book “Energia Bianca”, written in collaboration with journalist Giuseppe Rendine. The same year, she created the “Chimera Lauretana” medallion for the Municipality of Loreto Aprutino, awarded to prominent figures from the town. Crocetta continued her work as a graphic designer for music album covers and participated in the XIV International Florence Biennial.
Ester Crocetta exhibited three works in New York as part of a collective dedicated to women. She also participated in the “Rombo di Tuono” Festival, dedicated to Gigi Riva, where she created two sculptures awarded as prizes to Gigi Riva’s son and coach Claudio Ranieri. In November 2024, she will participate in a collective exhibition in Trieste, marking another milestone in her ongoing artistic journey.
